I Want You To Know

I Want You to Know contains pieces written by the women of the Daughters of Discs, Queens of Cups, Six of Swords, and Women of Wands. These writings, birthed in the group studio, then crafted and polished, speak to the power of the process of writing in community.

Inspiration for the pieces has been in the form of poetry and prose, which we have read together – Robert Hass, Mary Oliver, Pablo Neruda, Nikki Giovanni, Jane Hirshfield, Billy Collins, Eavan Boland, Czeslaw Milosz, Ellen Bass, Marie Howe, Marge Piercy, Derek Walcott, Mevlana Jallaluddin Rumi, David Whyte, and countless others. We have also used a number of writing exercises, seeds gathered from each other, images, colors and objects as springboards from which to write and develop our craft.
